Ben Y. Zhao

Ben Y. Zhao is the Neubauer Professor of Computer Science at the University of Chicago, where he co-directs the SAND Lab (Security, Algorithms, Networking and Data). He earned his PhD from UC Berkeley (2004) and his BS from Yale (1997). His research focuses on security and privacy in machine learning systems, with a recent emphasis on protecting human creatives from generative AI.
