The Elem Friends Forum is a group of people with the mission of increasing public awareness and raising financial support and aid to further enhance Elem’s impact on society. Founded in 1982, ELEM/Youth in Distress in Israel is the country’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to treating and transforming the lives of troubled youth. ELEM’s 280 professionals and more than 1,700 volunteers don't wait for referrals to treat these youth, but seek them out on their turf -- on the streets, in schools, on the Internet, and at bars and nightclubs. The 25,000 young people served annually and the additional 100,000 youth who reach out to ELEM online each year face tremendous challenges, such as domestic violence, substance abuse, neglect, bullying, homelessness, and prostitution. Elem runs over 80 projects throughout Israel, including Youth centers, Homeless shelters, and Night "vans" which meet youths and provide counseling "on their territory". Over the course of an elite ten-week program the American cohort of Excel Fellows are joined by a group of outstanding Israelis who were selected for the program based on their leadership, professional aspirations, and passion for community-building. After the successful completion of the program, Israeli peers join a network of fellow Excel alumni which I chaired for two years. We are a pioneering society of like-minded business people, united to fulfill our true potential, leave a legacy, and enact lasting positive social impact. Company A was founded in Israel in 2008 as a non-profit organization (formerly YEC). As a part of this unique society of business people and entrepreneurs, members work together on personal development, amplifying business achievements, and giving back to the community. The program goal is to nurture the future generation of the business leaders of Israel by allowing ten high-achieving students in their 3rd and 4th year of a Law and Business Management to participate in courses led by the IDC Herzliya - Executive Education Center. Mentored 9th-grade students in their completion of a year-long entrepreneurship project. From developing a product to registering a firm and devising strategies for selling and marketing the product, students competing in local, national, and international competitions. Also known as Junior Achievement Worldwide.
