Alex Bouaziz

Alex Bouaziz is the co-founder and CEO of Deel, the leading payroll and HR platform for global teams. Since launching the company in 2019, he has helped build Deel into one of the world’s largest fully remote organizations, supporting over 40,000 customers across more than 150 countries. With a background in engineering and a strong focus on product, Alex has led Deel’s evolution from a contractor payments solution into a comprehensive global workforce platform spanning payroll, compliance, HR, mobility, and immigration. Under his leadership, the company has scaled rapidly while maintaining a distributed-first model, with more than 7,000 team members across 110 countries. Alex grew up in Paris and studied at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology before completing a master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT. His international background has shaped his perspective on global work and the importance of creating access to opportunity regardless of location. In addition to his role at Deel, Alex is a founding partner at Sarona Ventures and an active private investor in early-stage technology startups, with investments in numerous companies worldwide. He is known for a hands-on leadership style and a long-term vision of building the infrastructure for a more connected, borderless world of work.
