Trustero, an AI-driven security and compliance company, raised $10.4 million in a Series A funding round led by Bright Pixel Capital, with participation from Engineering Capital, Zetta Ventures Partners, and Vertex Ventures US.
Founded in 2020 by Phillip Liu, a tech entrepreneur who previously founded SignalFx (acquired by Splunk for $1B), Trustero aims to revolutionize governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) processes by replacing manual, high-cost workflows with AI-powered solutions.
Trustero’s core technology, the patented "Trust Graph," enables rapid and accurate GRC intelligence, performing tasks like gap analyses, audits, evidence mapping, and remediation guidance across frameworks such as ISO 27001 and FedRAMP. The startup claims significant efficiency gains, with clients like Chassi reporting a 10-to-1 overall time savings and a 75% reduction in internal audit costs.
The funding will support product development, scaling operations, market expansion, and talent acquisition, including the recent hire of George Totev as Chief Information Security Officer.
