Italian healthtech startup ReportAId has raised €2.2 million in pre-seed funding to tackle one of Europe’s biggest healthcare challenges: unstructured clinical data. The company’s AI platform turns fragmented medical reports into structured, personalized care pathways, helping hospitals boost revenue by up to 25% while improving patient outcomes.
Despite heavy investment in healthcare IT, 80% of clinical data remains locked in unstructured reports, while 70% of patients skip follow-up care. ReportAId’s AI bridges this gap by automatically interpreting medical documents and transforming them into interactive tools that guide both patients and clinicians through the next steps of care—streamlining appointments, prescriptions, surgeries, and treatment plans.

The funding round was led by Italian Founders Fund, with participation from Heartfelt, Exceptional Ventures, 2100 Ventures, Vento, Ithaca, B Heroes, Vesper Holding, and angel investors Luca Ascani, Enrico Giacomelli, Francesco Zaccariello, and Luca Foschini. The capital will support hiring ten new team members and expanding adoption across Italy and Europe, building on deployments at San Raffaele Hospital and the upcoming rollout at Ospedale Isola Tiberina – Gemelli Isola.
“We’re the first to scale AI inside Italian healthcare—and we’re ready to work with public health leaders to modernize the system,” said Giuseppe Faraci, CEO and co-founder. “We’ve proven results in private hospitals; now we aim to support the NHS and public sector.”
Founded in 2024 by Faraci (CEO), Claudio Caletti (CTO), and Luca Foresti (Chairman), ReportAId emerged from firsthand experience with healthcare inefficiencies. Their AI platform automates data extraction from medical records, building structured clinical databases and automated care workflows while ensuring full compliance with EU privacy regulations.
For patients, this means clearer guidance and faster access to care. For providers, it enables more efficient scheduling, optimized treatment planning, and better compliance with clinical guidelines—driving measurable improvements in care continuity, capacity management, and revenue.
“ReportAId is one of the most practical and impactful uses of AI in healthcare,” said Irene Mingozzi, Principal at Italian Founders Fund. “By turning unstructured reports into structured actions, they’re solving bottlenecks that have long hindered European healthcare. We believe their impact will extend well beyond Italy.”
The company plans to deepen integration with healthcare IT systems, expand into specialty care areas, and collaborate with public health authorities to deploy its solution across national healthcare systems.
“Healthcare is ripe for AI, and this team is addressing a critical pain point with a scalable, elegant solution,” added Paolo Pio, General Partner at Exceptional Ventures. “Demand is already knocking, and we’re excited to support their mission.”
