ElevenLabs is significantly expanding its footprint in Australia and New Zealand, planning to triple its local team within the next year. This move includes dedicated sales and engineering resources to enhance customer engagement in the region. The company has already seen substantial adoption, with over 750,000 users in these countries building with its technology. According to the announcement on the ElevenLabs Blog, enterprises such as Xero, Greenstone Financial Services, Heidi Health, Andromeda Robotics, and Employment Hero are utilizing ElevenLabs for applications ranging from call center automation to content creation.

Employment Hero, a major HR and payroll platform, uses Eleven Agents for outbound calls to drive product activations. Greenstone Financial Services employs an AI agent for customer pre-screening, while Andromeda Robotics developed a companion robot for aged care residents using ElevenLabs technology. These deployments highlight the platform's ability to connect with business systems and manage real-time customer interactions across 70 languages. The platform now boasts over 4,000 Australian-accent voices, enabling more localized customer experiences.

Users in Australia and New Zealand have generated over 300 million audio generations and engaged in 2.4 million AI conversations on the ElevenLabs platform. Nearly 37,000 applications have been built using the ElevenLabs API. This surge indicates a clear inflection point for AI adoption in the region, with pilot projects now translating into production deployments.

The ElevenLabs Australia expansion arrives as the broader voice AI market continues its rapid ascent. Competitors like WellSaid Labs, with a StartupHub score of 61/100, and Coqui, scoring 48/100, are also active in this space. StartupHub.ai data shows ElevenLabs holds a strong position with a score of 79/100 and has secured $550M in Series D funding in 2026, reaching a post-money valuation of $11B. This expansion by ElevenLabs intensifies competition and underscores the growing demand for advanced voice AI solutions.

Organizations in Australia and New Zealand have historically been early technology adopters. This trend is now accelerating in voice AI, a sector identified as having high-impact potential for businesses. ElevenLabs' increased investment reflects confidence in this market momentum.
