New Training Modules Debut

Among the new course offerings is "Vibe Coding on Databricks," which delves into AI-driven development using tools like Genie Code, Claude Code, and Cursor. This module focuses on configuring servers and applying structured prompting to build context-aware workflows, culminating in the deployment of an application on Databricks. This initiative aligns with broader industry trends, such as those seen in Plotly's advancements in AI-native visual data app development.

Another key course, "Deploying and Monitoring Agents on Databricks," will guide participants through building, evaluating, and deploying production-ready AI agents using MLflow's ResponsesAgent framework. Emphasis will be placed on observability best practices, including MLflow tracing for metric analysis and anomaly detection.

For data pipeline enthusiasts, "Build Data Pipelines with Lakeflow Spark Declarative Pipelines" offers deep dives into incremental batch and streaming ingestion using components like streaming tables and materialized views. The "Developing BI Dashboards with AI/BI" course will explore how to leverage AI/BI Dashboards and AI/BI Genie to democratize business intelligence and enable self-service analytics.

Certification Expansion

Databricks is also launching a new "Context Engineering (Beta)" certification exam. This is tailored for AI engineers and data professionals aiming to validate their expertise in designing, governing, and evaluating the context crucial for production-ready agentic AI systems on the Databricks platform.

The summit will offer several other certification exams, including Data Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Professional, Generative AI Associate, Associate Developer for Apache SparkTM, Data Analyst Associate, Machine Learning Associate, and Machine Learning Professional.

Attendees who pass any Databricks Certification exam at the summit, or since June 13, 2025, will receive a customized Databricks Certified jacket and access to an exclusive lounge. The Learning Hub will provide hands-on labs, including the "Data Detectives" game, and opportunities for skills assessment and personalized learning plans.
