Philadelphia-based robotics firm Asylon secured $26 million in Series B funding. Insight Partners led the round. Veteran Ventures Capital, Allegion Ventures, and the GoPA Fund also participated in this Asylon Series B funding.

Asylon specializes in robotic security-as-a-service (RaaS). The company modifies Boston Dynamics' Spot robots into DroneDogs for ground patrols. These systems integrate with its Guardian software for comprehensive AI security.

DroneDogs can operate in hazardous environments. They perform tasks like gas leak detection and chemical identification. This technology offers an alternative to human or traditional canine patrols, differentiating it from companies like Knightscope.

Expanding Robotic Security Solutions

The 2015-founded company previously raised approximately $21 million. This latest Asylon Series B funding brings its total capital to about $45 million. Increased demand for facility security drives growth, similar to advancements in drone technology by firms like Skydio.

Asylon began as a drone company, later adding robotic guard dogs.

Asylon's RaaS costs between $100,000 and $150,000 annually. The company employs 65 people. Its systems are deployed across 15 states.
