OVERVIEW
Meals & Baking Solutions (MBS) is North America Retail’s largest Operating Unit (OU) with over $4B of net sales. We compete in over 20 categories including Refrigerated Dough, Mexican, Soup, Desserts and our Natural & Organic categories featuring the Annie’s and Cascadian Farm brands. The Sales & Trade team is a critical resource for the OU, supporting our pricing strategy development, pipeline, field sales teams, trade funding mechanics, and financial tracking in support of promotional activity. This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager, Sales & Trade and is part of the broader MBS Finance team comprised of ~20 financial professionals supporting our business units, sales, and supply chain organizations.
The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for managing the forecast for an OU with ~$1B in trade spending. This role provides a unique combination of developmental experiences and opportunity to partner for impact. You will have significant exposure to the MBS Trade Director, in addition to the OU VP of Finance, Finance Guidance Managers, and OU Finance Planning & Analysis (P&A) Manager. You will develop a strong foundational knowledge of GMI planning processes, systems, data, and capabilities (analysis of change, modeling, forecasting, reporting) that will serve you well as you progress through your career in GMI Finance. You will gain experience in building and executing a financial plan to deliver against the OU’s objectives. You will also receive exposure to development of sustainable business models and matrix relationship management as you partner across brand, finance and sales.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Serve as the financial leader for all MBS Sales & Trade systems processes, financial results, forecasting, and planning
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all things related to the Trade budget, for Finance partners as well as cross-functional business partners in Sales, SRM (Strategic Revenue Management) and Brand
- Lead accurate and balanced financial annual plan and monthly forecast processes, own communication to Finance VP and MBS Trade Director
- Lead annual customer Sales Release and quarterly spend per case true up processes
- Drive alignment between OU, Business Unit, and Field Sales teams regarding trade spending outlook
- Partner with OU and Central P&A teams to coordinate key P&A processes
- Support best practice sharing and process optimization across Sales & Trade Finance
- Provide ad hoc sales & trade finance support (reporting and analytics, customer finance support, BU finance support, etc.) as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A. or B.S in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Track record of exercising fiduciary responsibility, being accurate and detail oriented
- Demonstrated bias for action and remain agile as situations evolve
- Able to establish processes, make process improvements and effectively organize and coordinate own work
- Able to identify and extract the right data from financial systems to provide meaningful analysis and insights.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, Tableau dashboards
- Effective verbal & written communication skills
- Project management skills – ability to proactively manage deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and escalate potential issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Commercial Finance experience within Trade, Sales, or an Operating Unit
- Planning & Analysis experience, familiarity with volume planning processes
- Large, matrixed organization experience

- Located at World Headquarters just outside Minneapolis, MN

SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is:
$82,400 - $123,800 Annual
