Spiral Hydrogen has secured €2.7 million in pre-seed funding, its first external investment, from byFounders, Norrsken Evolve, and Superangel, plus €0.7 million in grants. This capital will fund the transition from lab development to a pilot electrolyser at the Port of Rotterdam within two years, aiming to validate its bubble-free technology promising over 90% efficiency for green hydrogen production. The company plans to use the pilot to inform the development of its first commercial unit, targeting cost competitiveness with fossil-based alternatives.
