iPRONICS, the Valencia-based silicon photonics company founded in 2019 as a spin-off from Universitat Politècnica de València, raised $125.0M (€107.57M) in a follow-on Series B co-led by Maverick Silicon and Light Street Capital with NVIDIA joining, plus Triatomic Capital, Bosch Ventures, Catalight Capital, European Innovation Council Fund, Tate Family Trust, Fine Structure Ventures, Amadeus Capital Partners, Build Collective and Criteria Venture Tech, bringing total funding to $177M (€152.3M). No specific metrics on clients, revenue, pipeline or employee count were disclosed. The company plans to use the funds to significantly accelerate commercialization and scale production of its flagship rack-mounted iPronics ONE optical circuit switching (OCS) platform for AI infrastructure to improve GPU utilization and reduce energy consumption, with Manish Muthal of Maverick Silicon and Geoffrey Tate, advisor to Light Street Capital, joining the board and Young Sohn of Catalight Capital becoming an advisor.
