Cicada is building the next generation of fixed income trading infrastructure for Latin America. It operates as a U.S.-regulated electronic trading platform connecting institutional capital to Latin American local-currency markets. The platform provides a modern, all-to-all electronic alternative trading system (ATS) for local currency bonds, aiming to improve liquidity and facilitate trading without the need for pre-existing relationships. Cicada enables the e-trading of Mexican government bonds, including nominal fixed-rate notes (Mbonos) and inflation-linked securities (UDIBonos), with plans to expand to Cetes, TIIE, Mexican corporate bonds, and other emerging markets government securities. The platform offers automation tools, execution of trades, connectivity to post-trade services, and data analysis of live and historical bond prices, targeting the migration of significant voice-traded volumes to electronic trading.
