How to get listed on "alternatives" pages

Our "<Company> alternatives" pages are generated from competitor relationships, not from manual listicle edits. Here is how to add yourself in about two minutes.

Step by step

  1. 1

Create or claim your company profile

Publishing a profile is a listing subscription ($5/month or $40/year). Most of it auto-fills from your website URL, so there is little to do by hand.

  2. 2

    Add your competitors

On your profile, list the companies you compete with. This is the signal that places you on their alternatives pages.

  3. 3

    Publish

Within a day or two of publishing, you appear on the alternatives page of every company you listed as a competitor.

How alternatives pages actually work

Every "X alternatives" page is built from the competitor graph across the directory. When your profile names Company X as a competitor, our system treats your company as a candidate alternative to X and surfaces you on that page, ranked by your profile completeness and score. There is no editorial queue: a published profile that names its competitors is all it takes.

Why emailing us is the slow path

We get a lot of "please add me to your X alternatives post" requests. The honest answer is that a manual edit is both slower and less durable than the self-serve route: a complete profile that names its competitors places you on those pages automatically and keeps you there as the data updates. Spend the two minutes on your profile instead of waiting on an inbox.
