Wherobots, the Spatial Intelligence Cloud platform developed by the original team behind Apache Sedona, is pleased to announce its achievement of SOC 2 Type 2 attestation. An independent auditing firm conducted a comprehensive evaluation and verified that Wherobots’ practices and controls align with the stringent security requirements established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
“We are thrilled to reach this milestone,” said Maxime Petazzoni, Head of Engineering at Wherobots. “Security is not an add-on, it is central to our engineering philosophy and is integrated into every aspect of our technology development and management. Attaining SOC 2 Type 2 attestation demonstrates our ongoing pledge to security and ensures we are meeting the gold standard for compliance as defined by the AICPA.”
SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls) is a widely respected framework used by leading organizations to evaluate software providers’ ability to protect sensitive data. While a Type 1 report assesses the design of security controls at a single point in time, a Type 2 attestation evaluates the effectiveness of those controls over an extended duration.
