Creator Tayla Cannon Secures $1.1M Seed to Scale Proactive Physical Therapy Software

Creator Tayla Cannon just secured $1.1 million in seed funding. Slow Ventures' dedicated Creator Fund provided the entire investment for her new venture.

Cannon transitioned from clinical work disillusioned with the volume-based, reactive nature of traditional physical therapy models. She started sharing proactive pain management advice online in 2024.

This content creation rapidly built an audience exceeding 130,000 followers on Instagram. That success fueled her initial coaching company, Athletic Rebuild, serving athletes.

The true inflection point arrived when Cannon recognized she was the bottleneck to further scale. She needed to build technology that could operate independently of her direct involvement.

This realization led to Rebuildr, a forthcoming HIPAA-compliant application designed to help rehab professionals manage and grow their online practices. Rebuildr focuses on delivering holistic, proactive care solutions.

Slow Ventures investor Megan Lightcap connected with Cannon organically at an event, sparking a conversation about Rebuildr’s ambitious vision. Cannon admits she was not actively seeking investment at that time.

Rebuildr intends to fundamentally reshape the rehab landscape, moving beyond geographic and appointment limitations. Cannon aims to make high-quality rehabilitation globally accessible through this software.

This seed round positions Rebuildr to launch early next year, directly challenging established personal trainer software competitors like TrainHeroic and Trainerize. The focus remains squarely on empowering clinicians digitally.
