Founder Chen Jianyu is a PhD advisor and assistant professor at Tsinghua, working in the team of Academician Yao Qizhi. Robot Era develops full-stack technology for embodied intelligent humanoid robots — its robots walk and run on lawns, gravel and snow, climb stairs, carry heavy loads, squat, jump, and lift weights. In May 2024 a Robot Era humanoid became the first in the world to climb the Great Wall.
