Founded in 2020 by Steven and Dennis Motta, Waveful aims to create digital spaces for making new friends and meaningful communities. The platform has surpassed three million downloads in under six months. Furthermore, it registered over 200% monthly growth in the past year.

Fueling Waveful's Global Ambitions

The raised capital will strengthen Waveful's presence in the United States. The company targets half a million American users within twelve months.

Waveful will expand its team by adding 4-6 new roles over the next three months. These positions primarily focus on engineering, growth, and marketing. The company aims to compete with established platforms like Discord and Reddit by focusing on shared passions.

a16z Speedrun selected Waveful as the only Italian company in its program. It also emerged as the fastest-growing startup within the batch.
