Companies including Amazon Ring, Intuit, and New York Life utilize Vapi's API-native platform to build and manage voice agents. These agents are designed to offer adaptive, human-like conversational experiences, a stark contrast to traditional rigid phone systems.

Enterprise Voice AI at Scale

Vapi's platform enables businesses to deploy configurable voice agents rapidly, moving from prototype to production with low latency and flexibility in model selection. The company targets critical business functions such as inbound customer service, outbound collections, and candidate screening.

Jason Mitura, VP of Software Development at Amazon Ring, highlighted Vapi's impact: "We went from zero to production in two weeks, and 100% of our inbound volume now runs through Vapi. Most importantly, we’ve maintained our high bar of support for our customers and CSAT scores have improved."

The market faces significant challenges from poor customer experiences, with nearly $3 trillion in global sales at risk in 2026 due to dissatisfaction. Despite investments in automation, customer satisfaction has stagnated or declined.

Vapi's co-founders, Jordan Dearsley and Nikhil Gupta, developed the infrastructure from a personal project, launching publicly in March 2024. The company now reports over 1 million developers and 2.7 million unique agents created.

The startup's focus is now on enhancing governance and predictability in voice AI, ensuring reliability and guardrails for high-stakes workflows.
