Refold AI, an enterprise integration platform company, today announced it has raised $6.5 million in seed funding to develop AI-powered solutions for API integration challenges faced by enterprises.
The seed round was led by Eniac Ventures and Tidal Ventures, with participation from Better Capital, Ahead VC, Karman Ventures, Z21, and individual investors.
Refold AI was founded by the team previously behind JustDoc, which was acquired by Reliance. The founders identified integration challenges while working with SAP environments where system changes could cause operational disruptions.
"We were spending significant time managing integration issues rather than building software," said Jugal Anchalia, Refold's co-founder and CEO. "We founded Refold to automate integration processes that currently require manual intervention."
Refold AI currently serves over 30 paying enterprise customers, including Incorta, Naehas, Saleshandy, and OvationCXM. They report 100% growth over the past two months and supports more than 1,500 active users. Across processessing over 30 million API calls monthly, they've achieved seven-figure annual recurring revenue (ARR).
Early customer implementations have demonstrated significant operational improvements:
- Development Speed: 6X faster integration development time (reducing 2-month projects to hours)
- Cost Reduction: 53% reduction in total cost of ownership for integration management
- Customer Acquisition: 2X increase in customer acquisition for SaaS platforms using Refold's embedded integrations
- Deal Acceleration: Enabled customers to close enterprise deals requiring specific integrations within days instead of months
Refold AI's platform uses AI agents to automate the creation and maintenance of API integrations. The platform consists of three main components:
- Workflow Code Agents: Tools for engineering teams to generate, test, and maintain integration logic
- MCP Chains: Natural language interface allowing business teams to describe desired outcomes and generate workflows
- Embedded Integrations Platform: Toolkit for SaaS companies to offer native integrations with pre-built UI components
The platform is currently being used for:
- ERP-to-CRM synchronization
- Finance workflow automation
- Supply chain management systems
Enterprise API integration represents a significant market, with companies traditionally relying on consultancies and systems integrators for implementation and maintenance. Refold AI positions its solution as an alternative to traditional integration approaches, using AI to automate processes that typically require manual configuration and ongoing maintenance.
"Enterprise integrations represent a compelling use case for AI agents. Refold has rebuilt the integration stack to make connections more seamless and intelligent," said Hadley Harris, Founding General Partner at Eniac Ventures.
Refold AI currently employs 20 people across San Mateo and Bangalore offices, with plans to expand to 30 employees by the end of 2025.
Nicholas Muy, Venture Partner at Tidal Ventures, commented: "Refold's AI agents address a longstanding challenge in enterprise software by automating integration work that has traditionally required consultants and manual effort."
