The program, dubbed 'AI for All,' will offer an AI literacy course developed by the University of Malta. This course is designed to educate citizens on AI's capabilities, limitations, and responsible usage for personal and professional life.
Upon course completion, Maltese citizens will receive one year of complimentary access to ChatGPT Plus. The first phase is set to launch in May, with distribution managed by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority.
Silvio Schembri, Maltese Minister for Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, stated that the program ensures every citizen can build confidence and skills for the digital age. He emphasized Malta's refusal to let its citizens fall behind in technological advancement.
