While an estimated 85% of music created today never reaches the public, a new GenAI music tool has emerged to help artists overcome creative and technical barriers. London-based startup Mozart AI has raised $730,000 in pre-seed funding to tackle this challenge with the world’s first AI-powered Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) designed as a true co-producer—enhancing, not replacing, the artist.
The round was led by EWOR (backers of multiple unicorn founders), with participation from New Renaissance Ventures, Stefan Glaenzer (founder of last.fm, early Monzo backer), Atlantis Ventures, and serial entrepreneur Felix Jahn. The funds will drive product development and team growth ahead of Mozart AI’s public launch on July 16, 2025. “Just 10 days after joining EWOR, Sundar, Arjun, and the team had built a first version of the product. They move at light speed,” said Daniel Dippold, Founder & CEO at EWOR.
As AI transforms music technology—from mastering and mixing to full song generation—many platforms automate the entire creative process, often sidelining the artist’s vision and raising concerns about authenticity and copyright. Mozart AI takes a different approach: acting as an AI co-producer, it works alongside musicians, streamlining technical tasks while preserving creative control. The platform understands natural language commands—like “create a euphoric 8-bar chord pattern and EQ the lows out”—and delivers professional results instantly.
Unlike most generative music tools, Mozart AI is built for collaboration, empowering artists to iterate quickly and refine their ideas while maintaining full authorship. “We’re eliminating friction, not creativity,” said Sundar Arvind, CEO and Co-Founder of Mozart AI. “Mozart AI was created to unlock creativity at the speed of inspiration, where every idea becomes a professional-grade song in minutes, not months.”
With over 25,000 users already on the waitlist, Mozart AI is poised to redefine the future of music production.
