Helios, an AI operating system developer for public policy professionals, recently emerged from stealth with $4 million in seed funding. Unusual Ventures led the round with participation from Founders Inc. and Alumni Ventures.
Helios’ flagship product, Proxi, is an AI-based operating system. This system specifically targets public policy, regulatory affairs, legal, compliance, and government teams. Proxi aims to empower professionals with end-to-end automation.
The platform deploys secure AI agents. These agents are trained and fine-tuned against robust public policy datasets. Proxi supports strategic advisement, complex writing products, data analysis, and stakeholder mapping.
Proxi offers four core features. "Consult" acts as a conversational AI agent, constantly scanning legislative and regulatory environments. Additionally, "Scribe" provides a collaborative AI editing and writing tool for memos and policy documents.
"Decipher" is a large-scale data analysis tool. It helps users parse long-form bills and reports, converting them into structured insights and risk alerts. Finally, Proxi includes a CRM tool for visually mapping stakeholder environments and tracking interaction history. This comprehensive offering enhances public policy software capabilities.
Helios plans to use the seed funding to expand its product and engineering teams. The company prioritizes finding top tech talent. This strategic investment positions Helios to challenge established players like Palantir, FiscalNote, and Bloomberg Government in the government technology sector.
