Elbit Systems Signs $71 Million Contract for Future Armoured Vehicle Training of the British Army

In a pivotal move, Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT and TASE: ESLT), a globally recognized high technology company, announced on May 9, 2023, that its UK subsidiary, Elbit Systems UK, has been awarded a significant contract from the UK Ministry of Defence. Worth approximately $71 million, the contract entails the supply, maintenance, and operation of the Ground Manoeuvre Synthetic Trainer (GMST) systems for the Boxer armoured vehicles and Challenger 3 tanks under the British Army's Project Vulcan.
The contract's delivery is expected over a three-year period, followed by an additional nine years involving operation and maintenance services at UK facilities. This arrangement illustrates Elbit Systems' commitment to provide long-term solutions and services in the defense sector, reinforcing its position in the global market.
The first phase of delivery will support the British Army's newest arrival, the Mechanised Infantry Vehicle – Boxer. Elbit Systems UK aims to provide a comprehensive Platform Trainer, catering to both collective and individual training requirements. The proposed programme includes high fidelity driver trainers, cabins for turret and armament variants, supported by a digital training management system.
This initiative aligns with Elbit Systems' focus on upgrading existing platforms, developing new technologies for defense, homeland security, and commercial applications, as well as providing an array of support services, such as training and simulation systems.
