CyberRidge launched with $26 million in new funding. The company is developing a new system for optical security. Its technology aims to protect data traffic in fiber-optic networks. This includes critical infrastructure like subsea internet cables. The system shields traffic from eavesdropping attempts. CyberRidge's platform works by spreading data across many different light wavelengths. It then encrypts the distributed information. A special decryption key is required to read the traffic. This key is refreshed multiple times every second. The key must be present at the exact moment the light signal arrives for decryption to succeed. CyberRidge claims its approach can defend against future threats. This includes the security risks posed by quantum computers. The funding came from Awz, Arkin Capital, Redseed VC, and Elron Ventures. The European Union's Horizon-EIC program also participated. Several organizations are currently piloting the system in early-stage deployments.
