Viridi Funding Round

UK-based carbon utilization startup Viridi has secured a €2.6 million (£2.2 million / $2.8 million) funding round led by Odyssey Ventures, with co-investment from Alphatron Impact Ventures, existing angels, and strategic investor TOP Ventures (the VC arm of Thaioil). This follow-on investment comes after the University of Southampton spinout's €3.3 million Seed round in 2023. Viridi, whose technology converts captured CO2 into chemical ingredients and has already been tested in live manufacturing environments, will use the capital to scale its catalyst technology, strengthen its team, and expand operations into Asia and the US.
