Sophia Space, which is developing novel space computers with a focus on passively cooling high-powered processors in orbit, has raised $10 million in seed funding. The round included investments from Alpha Funds, KDDI Green Partners Fund, and Unlock Venture Partners. The company plans to use the capital to demonstrate its unique cooling technology on the ground, followed by an in-orbit demonstration by late 2027 or early 2028.
