Phaze Seed

Remote desktop startup Phaze has raised $8.75 million in a seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) to develop a low-latency remote desktop platform designed for both human users and AI agents. Founded by Benjy Boxer and Chris Dickson—creators of graphics-focused remote software Parsec, which was previously acquired by Unity—Phaze targets latency-sensitive workloads in 3D design, VFX, and software development using tools like Blender and Unreal Studio. While the company has not yet disclosed pricing, client metrics, or general availability, the capital will be used to build host-management infrastructure that allows AI agents to interact directly with full, OS-specific desktop environments and specialized GPU hardware.
