NewOrbit has secured an $18.5 million Series A funding round, led by Voyager Ventures, to launch the world's first commercial satellite in very low Earth orbit (VLEO). This funding will enable the company to deploy its NEO-1 satellite, designed to operate for up to five years in the 200-300 km altitude band. The round also saw participation from notable angel investors and existing backers like Atlantic.vc and Lifeline Ventures.
