AI lab Inherent has secured $50 million in its first funding round, led by Index Ventures with participation from Radical Ventures. The company, founded by former DeepMind researchers, will use the capital to develop its "AI-native science" platform, "Faraday," which aims to combine human curiosity with AI for novel scientific discovery. Former UK government AI tsar Matt Clifford has joined as an adviser.
