Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is a spin-out from MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center, focused on commercializing fusion energy. They are developing compact, high-field fusion power plants using high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets to achieve net energy gain, aiming to deliver a new source of clean, safe, and limitless energy to the grid.
