Agentic security startup Cantina has launched with an $8 million seed funding round to automate the post-detection vulnerability remediation process. The company aims to address the bottleneck of fixing security issues, as evidenced by the 2026 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report showing a decline in critical known-exploited vulnerabilities being fully remediated. This funding will be used to further develop their platform, which utilizes AI agents and a "security memory layer" to map customer environments and automate the complex workflow from triage to verified fix.
