Arm and UNICEF have launchedAI in Play, a new global initiative designed to broaden access to artificial intelligence innovation. This partnership aims to foster the development of scalable AI-based solutions for young people in emerging economies and cultivate the next generation of AI builders. The initiative addresses the widening digital divide as AI adoption accelerates unevenly. AI in Play seeks to create an open ecosystem connecting technology companies, entrepreneurs, governments, and communities. The goal is to accelerate practical AI solutions for challenges in education, climate resilience, and healthcare. The initiative has set ambitious targets: reaching 2.5 million children and communities across 12 countries, supporting 20 AI-powered ventures, and equipping 200,000 young people with foundational AI literacy skills.
