Replit has raised $250 million in a new funding round led by Prysm Capital. The investment also saw participation from new backers Amex Ventures and Google’s AI Futures Fund. This latest Replit funding round brings the company's total capital raised to approximately $478 million.
The deal values the collaborative coding platform at $3 billion. This new valuation represents a significant increase from its 2023 round, which valued the company at $1.16 billion post-money. Consequently, the company continues to attract significant venture capital interest.
Explosive Revenue Growth Fuels New Round
Replit reported a dramatic surge in annualized revenue, growing from $2.8 million to $150 million in less than a year.
This rapid financial growth is supported by returning investors, including Y Combinator, Craft, Andreessen Horowitz, and Coatue. The company's platform is becoming a central hub for developers, positioning it against established services like GitHub Codespaces and AWS Cloud9. Furthermore, its focus on collaborative features makes it a key player among modern AI development tools.
Replit has also deepened its integration with major cloud providers. While it has a close partnership with Google Cloud, Microsoft began offering Replit on its Azure platform in July. This broad adoption across platforms solidifies its position in the market for cloud-based IDEs.
