Island Secures $60M Series E1 Funding at $5B Valuation

Island, the Enterprise Browser company, closed its Series E funding round at $310 million, sources close to the deal disclosed to StartupHub.ai. Coatue Management led the round, and J.P. Morgan Private Capital's Growth Equity Partners also participated as a strategic investor.

Island's Series E round commenced in March this year, reaching $4.8 billion.

Island plans to significantly accelerate product innovation. Furthermore, the company aims to deliver powerful new capabilities for CIOs, CISOs, and end users. This funding will redefine expectations for enterprise browsers.

Browser security and browser technology is quickly finding relation to the Agentic AI boon. Both OpenAI and Perplexity have set their sights on building and releasing their own browser, circumventing much of the roadblocks impeding LLMs and AI Agents in their digital agency.
