Samsung Deploys ChatGPT Enterprise

Samsung Electronics is accelerating its artificial intelligence adoption by deploying ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to its workforce. The initiative will make these AI tools available to all employees in Korea and across the global Device eXperience (DX) division.

This partnership represents one of OpenAI’s most significant enterprise launches yet. Samsung plans to leverage ChatGPT and Codex to boost productivity and problem-solving across various departments, including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and software development.

Codex, initially a developer tool, is now proving valuable for a wider range of tasks. Employees can use it to transform ideas into software, internal tools, and automated workflows, with weekly active users globally exceeding five million. Korean Codex users have seen an 800% growth since February 1, 2026.

ChatGPT Enterprise offers robust security features, including data protection and access management, ensuring compliance with Samsung’s internal policies. This allows employees to utilize advanced AI capabilities securely.

The deployment extends beyond infrastructure, focusing on workforce transformation and company-wide AI integration. OpenAI’s General Manager for Korea, Harrison Kim, highlighted Samsung’s commitment to AI as a core platform for innovation.
