World Models

World Models is a conceptual framework and area of research in artificial intelligence focused on creating AI systems that build internal representations of the physical world. Unlike large language models (LLMs) that predict text, world models aim to simulate environments, understand causality, and predict the consequences of actions, enabling more robust reasoning, planning, and interaction with complex 3D spaces. This approach is seen as a potential path towards achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI) and is being pursued by various research labs and startups.
