Aylight

Aylight is a Swiss photonics startup developing innovative chip-scale multiwavelength laser technology. Their technology, based on a frequency-modulated comb (FM comb) architecture, generates multiple precisely spaced wavelengths from a single chip. This is designed to address the growing demand for more efficient optical interconnects in AI data centers as data transfer between chips becomes a critical performance factor. The technology is intended to be manufactured using existing semiconductor photonics foundries. Beyond data centers, Aylight's lasers are also targeted for applications requiring high-resolution 3D sensing, such as semiconductor inspection, metrology, industrial automation, and precision robotics.
