Thinking Machines Lab and NVIDIA have inked a significant multi-year strategic partnership that will see at least one gigawatt of next-generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin systems deployed. This collaboration aims to power Thinking Machines' frontier model training and deliver customizable AI at scale, with initial deployment slated for early next year.
The expansive agreement also includes joint efforts to design specialized training and serving systems optimized for NVIDIA architectures. This initiative seeks to broaden enterprise, research, and scientific community access to advanced AI and open models. NVIDIA's commitment extends to a substantial investment in Thinking Machines Lab, fueling the company's long-term development.
"AI is the most powerful knowledge discovery instrument in human history," stated Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. "Thinking Machines has brought together a world-class team to advance the frontier of AI. We are thrilled to partner with Thinking Machines to realize their exciting vision for the future of AI."
Mira Murati, cofounder and CEO of Thinking Machines, added, "NVIDIA's technology is the foundation on which the entire field is built. This partnership accelerates our capacity to build AI that people can shape and make their own, as it shapes human potential in turn."
Building understandable, customizable, and collaborative AI systems requires significant advancements in research, design, and infrastructure.
