Stampli, an intelligent procure-to-pay platform, dramatically compressed its product launch cycle for its new Deep Finance offering, transforming an estimated 243 hours of production work into just 77 hours using OpenAI's Codex and ChatGPT Work. This acceleration, reducing launch production time from weeks to days, highlights a broader trend of AI integration in Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies.
The Deep Finance product, designed to provide executive spend intelligence for CFOs and business leaders, required a rapid GTM strategy. With a fixed deadline and other design resources already allocated, Stampli's marketing team turned to AI. They utilized Codex to connect product context, meeting notes, and messaging guidelines into a unified system, generating assets for a seven-part blog series, launch emails, a webinar, social media creative, a press release, and sales enablement materials. Even complex tasks like creating launch animations were significantly expedited, with Codex handling about 90% of the work before final contractor refinement. The entire process from prototype to launch, including the first shipped product, was completed in roughly six weeks, a timeline that previously might have spanned months.
AI as a Daily Driver, Not Just for Launches
The efficiency gains seen during the Deep Finance launch are not an isolated event for Stampli. The product marketing team has integrated OpenAI's tools into their daily operations. Previously, keeping product materials up-to-date involved laborious efforts like interviewing product managers, parsing Jira tickets, and sifting through meeting notes. Now, a GPT-powered system automates much of this, gathering information from various product systems and notes to maintain current help center articles, presentations, and one-pagers. This automation has multiplied the team's output, with hundreds of content pieces being produced weekly, a stark contrast to the few pieces possible before.
Melad Zahedi, Director of Product Marketing at Stampli, noted that this AI system has "multiplied the output of a small team by 10x." This scaled content generation is crucial for a company like Stampli, which offers a complex financial platform. Keeping customers and internal teams informed with accurate, up-to-date documentation is paramount for adoption and support.
Surfacing Insights and Strategic Bandwidth
Beyond content creation, OpenAI tools are serving as a critical "second brain" for employees, particularly in managing information flow and decision-making. Zahedi described using GPT-powered automations to organize his schedule and prepare for back-to-back meetings, ensuring he has necessary context and can be efficient. In one executive meeting, a question about cross-system metrics arose. An employee was able to use Codex to retrieve and analyze the data in seconds, a task that would have typically taken the FP&A team half a day. This rapid data access and analysis empowers quicker, more informed decisions at all levels.
