The Israeli FoodTech company SavorEat has embarked on the new year by engaging in a genuine Israeli joint venture in which it is to launch the unique solution it has developed for the high-tech market together with the Yarzin-Sella catering company. The company, which has developed a cutting-edge technological platform for the catering market, incorporating a robot chef to digitally produce meat alternatives (including 3D technology) based on the diner’s preferences, will for the first time introduce its products in a number of high-tech offices, including the ironSource software company in Tel Aviv. SavorEat is now expected to provide its solution and supply its products to the company’s employees. This move will enable the company to gain a foothold in a new and extremely strategic target audience – the high-tech market.
The dishes that SavorEat will serve to the employees will be prepared digitally, on site and untouched by human hand, thanks to the robot chef developed by SavorEat. This service is scheduled to reach further high-tech institutions and organizations in the not-too-distant future. This is a key target audience for SavorEat, as this market segment, for the most part declares itself to be flexitarian (adhering to a mainly plant-based diet yet eating meat products on occasions), while it is also mainly a target audience considered to be early adopters of technologies and innovation.
The cooperation agreement with the Yarzin-Sella Group is one of SavorEat's most strategic moves to date, and Yarzin-Sella is genuinely regarded to be a significant partner in the company’s growth process.
“SavorEat brings a genuine new message to the food industry, our products are personally tailored to the consumer and change in accordance with his or her immediate demands," stated Racheli Vizman, SavorEat's co-founder and CEO. "This effort to offer personalization will for the first time really empower the end customer. The company’s product is an innovative concept enabling the automatic and autonomous creation of meat alternatives without compromising on taste and quality. Linking up with Yarzin-Sella is a natural and logical step forward, on the one hand SavorEat will have access to target audiences who espouse and promote innovation, while on the other hand it will place Yarzin-Sella as the ambassador of such innovation in its businesses. I would like to thank the management team at Yarzin-Sella for electing to join forces with us and expressing their trust in the solution that SavorEat is developing, as well as our innovative value proposition. I am confident that many years of the group's expertise will contribute to the efforts to expedite the market penetration of or products both in Israel and internationally.”
This activity adds on to the ongoing efforts being invested by the company throughout the year in exposing the technology and the products it has developed, to various audiences in both local and international markets, as it recently did in the US market (which is the key market being targeted by the company at this stage), with the initial exposure of the technology during its participation in the NRA (National Restaurant Association) Show held in Chicago, USA, in May this year, and which is considered to be one of key conventions in the food market. The commercial agreement with Sodexo Israel that is anticipated to generate initial revenues, will push SavorEat's business one stage further towards commercialization of the technology and the products under development.
“Yarzin-Sella leads the way at the forefront of technology and also heads the effort to implement a policy of sustainability in the catering sector, and as such is extremely happy to apply SavorEat’s innovative approach among our customers, who are motivated by the desire to promote innovation, sustainability and health," said Yuval Sella, CEO of Yarzin-Sella.
“Further to our productive cooperation with SavorEat, we are excited to implement the company’s innovative approach and technology among our customers, and in doing so to promote the values of sustainability, health and innovation, while also helping the Israeli FoodTech industry to grow and even make a global impact,” added Ayelet Carasso, who heads this venture.
