Google Fairwind Program Arms Allies With AI Fixes

Google Fairwind Program launched September 2, putting autonomous vulnerability remediation in the hands of vetted defenders instead of the open market.

The offering pairs Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber with the CodeMender harness to generate verified, deployment-ready patches in minutes inside a customer's cloud.

Initial rollout targets the systems hardest to patch at scale: public-sector networks and citizen services, critical infrastructure across healthcare, telecom, energy and finance, and core technology platforms with millions of downstream users.

Access is not remote and open. Participants must be internal cybersecurity, incident response or penetration testing staff and must enforce controls like multi-factor authentication. More than 650 partners have been admitted globally so far.

How the Google Fairwind Program actually works

CodeMender acts as the harness and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber supplies the reasoning. Together they find a flaw, verify exploitability, write a fix and validate it can deploy safely.
