DXC Technology, a global IT services giant, is forging a multi-year alliance with AI firm Anthropic to embed the latter's Claude large language model into critical infrastructure for regulated industries. This strategic move aims to bring advanced AI capabilities to sectors like banking, aviation, and government, which operate under stringent security and compliance mandates.

Under the agreement, DXC will train thousands of its engineers, designated as Claude-certified forward-deployed engineers (FDEs), to integrate Claude directly into the complex systems it manages for major clients. These systems, which DXC has operated for decades, underpin essential business functions such as transactions, claims processing, and operational workflows.

DXC's Internal AI Proving Ground

Before extending Claude to its customers, DXC extensively tested the AI within its own global operations, which span approximately 115,000 employees across 70 countries. This internal vetting process occurred under similarly rigorous security and compliance conditions.

A significant internal application of Claude is its role in developing DXC OASIS, the company's new AI-native orchestration platform for managed services. Launched in April 2026, OASIS leverages AI agents for routine IT tasks. Claude served as the foundational model powering the platform’s agentic workflows and was instrumental in its development.

DXC reports that Claude accelerated software development for OASIS by a factor of 10, with over 95% of the code generated by the AI and subsequently reviewed by human engineers. The OASIS platform currently serves over 50 DXC customers, with plans for a global rollout.

Building a Specialized AI Workforce

As part of the alliance, DXC is establishing a dedicated team of Claude-certified engineers. These professionals will be recruited from existing DXC development teams and certified through Anthropic Academy, Anthropic's training program for partner engineers. DXC is augmenting this with its own proprietary curriculum focused on the mission-critical systems its clients rely on.

The initial rollout of Claude integration will focus on four key areas where DXC already holds significant operational presence and where Claude can deliver immediate value:

  • Insurance: Deploying agentic solutions and modernizing core insurance systems.
  • Modernization as a Service (MaaS): Assisting enterprise clients in analyzing and refactoring legacy codebases more efficiently, a capability also highlighted in the AI in airline industry.
  • Cybersecurity: Developing an always-on security engineer subagent for DXC's security operations centers (SOCs), built on Claude Security.
  • Application Services: Embedding Claude directly into application maintenance and management environments through OASIS agents.

This partnership positions DXC as a key player in bringing advanced AI, specifically Anthropic's Claude, into highly regulated enterprise environments, marking a significant step in the broader Anthropic Formalizes AI Services with New Partner Tiers.
