In an industry dominated by automation trends, Silicon Valley startup FullyRamped is taking a different path by investing in human potential. The startup has raised $2.3 million in pre-seed funding to empower sales representatives through AI-driven role-play simulations on its platform, Practice Prospects.

The round was led by BoxGroup, MaC Venture Capital, and NOMO Ventures, with additional backing from Greylock and Sequoia’s scout funds.

“FullyRamped identified a clear need in the market and built a solution with the potential to redefine business training,” said David Tisch, Managing Partner at BoxGroup. The platform is designed specifically for sales teams and their managers, offering AI-powered personas—Practice Prospects—that simulate real sales calls. Using real-time voice AI, these personas engage in natural conversations with minimal latency, allowing sales reps to practice pitches, refine objection handling, and sharpen their skills without risking valuable leads. Their platform eliminates the scheduling bottlenecks of traditional role-play by replacing manager or peer availability with always-on AI.

“The goal is to help companies develop human capital,” explained Aaron Marks, CEO and founder of FullyRamped. “AI is a tool to assist humans, not replace them. Especially in high-stakes B2B sales, people still prefer speaking with people.”

Marks, a Stanford-educated engineer specializing in Natural Language Processing, previously worked as employee #2 at Skiff (acquired by Notion in 2024) and as a Growth Manager at Verkada. The concept behind FullyRamped began as a prototype that allowed sales reps to call live phone numbers and practice cold-calling on-demand. “The best part was using it myself,” Marks recalled. “I learned to sell FullyRamped by practicing on FullyRamped.”

Traditional sales training, which often relies on internal academies, involves steep costs and long ramp-up periods. FullyRamped’s solution shortens onboarding timelines, reduces lead loss during training, and improves conversation-to-meeting ratios, ensuring that new reps are fully prepared before they engage with real customers. The platform is designed to complement traditional role-play exercises, providing a comprehensive and modern training solution.

Since launching over the summer, the startup has already secured paying customers, with technology companies using the platform to onboard and train their SDRs. Early adopters have reported strong results, with promising growth metrics since launch.

While FullyRamped is currently focused on tech sales, the company aims to expand to all external-facing roles in the future. “In software, you never test in production,” Marks noted. “Why not offer the same concept—a staging environment—for everyone with customer-facing jobs?”

The funding will enable team expansion, product development, and the acceleration of the startup’s go-to-market strategy, setting the stage for them to gain traction in the highly competitive sales-tech space.
