Bonsai Health, an agentic AI platform that automates complex healthcare workflows, announced it has raised a $7 million seed round led by Bonfire Ventures and Wonder Ventures. Founded by PatientPop veterans, Bonsai helps practices improve patient outcomes, reduce staff workload, and grow sustainably.
Since its launch, the platform has engaged over 235,000 patients and scheduled more than 36,000 appointments across 100+ healthcare groups. This success frees up staff from repetitive tasks and helps ensure patients receive timely care, preventing missed appointments and treatment gaps that can lead to more serious health issues.
Bonsai uses AI to analyze practice data and automate a wide range of front-office tasks, keeping patients on track with personalized outreach and seamless scheduling. The platform integrates directly into existing practice systems, working in the background to improve access to care.
“Patients often miss care simply because practices don’t have the time or tools to consistently reach them," said Travis Schneider, co-founder and co-CEO of Bonsai Health. "Our goal with Bonsai is to quietly take that work off staff’s plate, so patients stay on track with their health and practices can focus on delivering care.”
The new funding will be used to accelerate the development of Bonsai’s specialty-trained AI agents, expand into new medical specialties, and scale its commercial efforts nationwide.
Luke Kervin, co-founder and co-CEO, added, “We believe Bonsai represents a new category of practice infrastructure, an intelligent AI layer that automates front-office workflows end to end, working in the background to keep patients connected to care and practices running smoothly.”
“What Travis and Luke have built is nothing short of category-defining, an agentic AI platform purpose-built for healthcare," said Jim Andelman, Co-Founder and General Partner at Bonfire Ventures. “Bonsai is solving a massive, universal pain point with measurable impact,” added Dustin Rosen, Managing Partner at Wonder Ventures.
