THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control for our Grand Prairie, Texas manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all products meet the rigorous standards required for defense manufacturing.

As a key member of the Operations organization, you will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production to drive a culture of quality throughout the organization. You will oversee product quality from supplier qualification through final inspection, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while enabling efficient, scalable production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for the Grand Prairie, TX manufacturing facility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) to support defense manufacturing operations.
  • Establish inspection plans, quality procedures, and acceptance criteria for incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and finished products.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure products are built to specification and meet customer quality requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee supplier quality activities, including supplier qualification, audits, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal quality standards, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead internal audits and support customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
  • Train and mentor manufacturing personnel on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Program Management and Operations to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks throughout production.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on product reliability, manufacturing excellence, and customer satisfaction.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience supporting the defense, aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality planning, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience bringing product line up to ISO 9001 and NATO AQAP 2110 standards 
  • Experience leading root cause analysis, CAPA, and non-conformance investigations.
  • Experience managing supplier quality programs, audits, and supplier development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and quality documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of AQAP standards and defense-specific quality assurance processes.
  • Experience launching or scaling quality systems within a new manufacturing facility.
  • Background in electronics, electromechanical assemblies, precision machining, composites, or complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working within a high-growth defense technology company or rapidly scaling manufacturing organization.
