Key Responsibilities

Architect High-Throughput Backend Systems: Design and deploy resilient backend architectures, robust APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, SOAP), and high-performance relational database schemas built on modern Java ecosystems.

Lead Technical & Architectural Decision-Making: Evaluate complex business demands, challenge technical assumptions, and refactor core microservices to handle high-volume streaming data, real-time inventory sync, and complex order routing.

Optimize Data Layers & Event Messaging: Streamline database queries, caching strategies using Redis, and event-driven messaging pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka to support web-scale traffic.

Collaborate with Global Stakeholders: Drive technical alignment across cross-functional leadership, product teams, and international engineering squads (including European time zone overlap).

Ensure Production Reliability & System Health: Drive end-to-end operational stability, leading root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for mission-critical systems handling millions of daily updates.

Elevate Engineering & AI Practices: Champion high code quality, lead architectural reviews, and integrate AI-assisted development tools and workflows across engineering teams.
What You Bring

8+ Years of Backend Engineering Experience: Proven track record in a Technical Lead or Principal Contributor capacity driving high-impact distributed systems.

Modern Java & Distributed Ecosystem Mastery: Deep technical proficiency with Java 17/21/25, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Hibernate/ORM, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Redis, and Kafka.

Architectural Autonomy & Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable architecture, balancing technical trade-offs between latency, system cost, and business goals.

Cloud Architecture Fluency: Solid understanding of cloud design patterns across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Advanced English Fluency: Fluent spoken and written English skills for seamless collaboration with global product and executive stakeholders.

Bonus Technical Exposure: Experience with enterprise e-commerce systems (e.g., SAP Commerce / Hybris), high-throughput NoSQL databases (Cassandra, DynamoDB), AWS microservices orchestration, or IDE-integrated AI coding tools is a strong plus.
