Dirk Kingma (ex OpenAI, today Anthropic)

Dirk Kingma is a computer scientist and researcher focused on scalable methods for machine learning and generative modeling. His contributions include the Variational Autoencoder (VAE) and the Adam optimizer. He was a co-founder of OpenAI and is now a research scientist at Anthropic.
