Aampe, the startup behind agentic infrastructure enabling continuous personalization in consumer apps, raised a $18 million Series A funding round led by Theory Ventures, with participation from Z47 (formerly Matrix Capital India). The funding brings Aampe’s total raised to $27.3 million and will accelerate the adoption of its AI-driven infrastructure, which is already powering over 100 million intelligent agents across four continents.

Aampe’s AI agents deliver a revolutionary approach to personalization, enabling businesses to move beyond traditional segmentation and manual workflows. Each agent continuously learns from user interactions to tailor every experience—whether in-app, through marketing channels, or across digital surfaces—without requiring teams to manage complex campaign setups.

The infrastructure is already in use by leading companies across industries, including food delivery and on-demand apps in Asia, sports and fitness apps in Europe, and fintech and entertainment platforms in the US Aampe agents handle up to 200 billion personalized decisions weekly, driving higher engagement and value for both users and enterprises.

“Our mission is to fundamentally improve how users experience digital products,” said Paul Meinshausen, Aampe CEO and co-founder. “Today, most apps look the same for everyone, limiting personalization to basic recommendation feeds. Aampe’s AI Agents enable every interaction to adapt to the user’s unique preferences and context, continuously and at scale.”

Redefining Personalization with Agentic AI

Unlike conventional AI or machine learning approaches, Aampe employs reinforcement learning, enabling its agents to adapt in real-time and optimize decisions for each user. This infrastructure integrates seamlessly with existing marketing and product tools, maximizing the value of businesses' technology investments while reducing operational complexity.

“AI agents can make decisions at a scale no human team could achieve,” said Andy Triedman, Partner at Theory Ventures. “Aampe’s infrastructure transforms user engagement, allowing companies to craft truly personalized experiences for millions of users simultaneously.”

Aampe’s focus on privacy is integral to its solution, employing zero-PII practices and anonymized behavioral data. The company has attracted customers in regions like Southeast Asia and North America, where privacy concerns are paramount.

Founded in 2020 by Paul Meinshausen, Schaun Wheeler, and Sami Abboud, Aampe combines deep expertise in behavioral science, engineering, and AI. Its team plans to double by the end of 2025, focusing on helping enterprises integrate agentic infrastructure across their operations.

While Aampe’s initial focus was on marketing and messaging channels, the company is rapidly extending its capabilities to manage the entire user journey—from interface layouts to feature discovery. This evolution positions Aampe as a leader in enabling dynamic, user-driven experiences across all aspects of consumer applications.
