ATV Big Air Tour collapsed a two to three day merchandise inventory into two to three hours and now runs daily answer engine optimization AEO audits, according to OpenAI News on ChatGPT Work.

The demo is not a remote exploit. It's operational automation for a two-person team, Larissa and Derek Guetter, running 26 nationwide dates from May to November.

Affected systems are the tour website, ChatGPT Work scheduled briefings, and OpenAI search and user-bots. No attacker access is required. The failure mode is human scale error spread across ticketing teams, local media, volunteers and chambers of commerce posting wrong dates and ticket links.

One workflow now checks about 30 priority sources each morning, flags inconsistencies it finds elsewhere, and drafts correction emails. Review time fell from about 8 hours to 1 hour per week. Another takes merch photos, builds a spreadsheet and visual site, and suggests reorders in under 15 minutes.

How this kind of optimization actually works

The audit checks whether event dates, locations, ticket details and FAQs are structured so AI assistants can parse and surface them. Think of it as a daily readability scan for machines, not humans. Missing schema or buried FAQs means the answer never leaves your site.

For ATV Big Air Tour the scan caught that ChatGPT could not retrieve about 90 percent of FAQs. Fixing structure pushed OpenAI search and user-bot hits from 183 to 2,421 across consecutive 30-day periods, a 1,223 percent rise after filtering out training bots.

Why it matters and what still breaks

For a tour that lives or dies on families finding the right field on the right night, accurate listings and AI discoverability are revenue. The same pattern showed up in our earlier look at ChatGPT Work voice control for recipe development, where SMBs use scheduled agents to cover functions they can't hire for.

It isn't hands-off. Larissa still reviews inventory recommendations and supplier orders, and correction emails still need sending. Any team copying this should version control the site changes that AEO suggests and log what was sent to publishers, since a bad automation will replicate bad data faster than before.
