The Airbus Zephyr is a solar-electric, fixed-wing high-altitude pseudo-satellite (HAPS) unmanned aerial system (UAS) designed to operate persistently in the stratosphere above 60,000 feet. It provides satellite-like services for earth observation, communications relay, and remote sensing at a lower cost than traditional satellites.
